Dr. Nicole Guma is a staff internal medicine specialist at Dogs and Cats Emergency and Specialty. Dr. Guma grew up on Long Island in NY. She attended veterinary school at Cornell University and graduated in 2005. Following graduation she pursued a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Affiliated Animal Care in Chesapeake, VA. She completed a dual residency in internal medicine and emergency/critical care at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates and became board certified in critical care in 2010 and board certified in internal medicine in 2011. She worked as a staff criticalist at VCA SouthPaws from 2011-2014. Nicole and her husband Ethan have lived all over the country due to her husband’s military career but they are happy to be settled in the DC/Annapolis area. They have two dogs, two cats and two beautiful children.
