Dr. Harro

Dr. Cailin Harro earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University, where she graduated near the top of her class, before completing a rotating internship and Internal Medicine specialty internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C. She continued her advanced training through an Internal Medicine residency at North Carolina State University. Her clinical experience includes complex case management, endoscopy, advanced imaging, extracorporeal therapies, and interventional procedures involving the urinary system.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Harro has contributed to veterinary research and published studies involving feline adrenal disease, blood pressure measurement in cats, and hepatocellular carcinoma in dogs. She also enjoys teaching and has delivered educational presentations on topics including anemia, kidney disease, hepatic shunts, and gastrointestinal illness. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Harro enjoys ice cream and everything about the fall season.
