Overview
Our Community Wellness is a comprehensive support system for our staff, clients, and community. Built on a foundation of accessibility and practicality, the program takes a multifaceted approach to promote well-being in our hospital and the community. Launched in 2020, the program reflects our ongoing commitment to caring for pets, families, and the people who care for them.
To foster wellness across every level of care, we offer a range of initiatives designed to support emotional health, strengthen community connections, and enhance quality of life:
Pet Blood Donors: An initiative that engages community pets as “Life-Saving Heroes,” helping provide critical blood transfusions to patients in need of emergency or specialty care. Learn More →
Community Care Fund: An initiative powered by community support that connects donations to families facing financial hardship, helping ensure pets receive medical care as resources permit. Learn More →
Social Impact: An initiative that strengthens the human–animal bond through partnerships, awareness campaigns, and investments in organizations that promote wellness such as No One More Vet (NOMV), PrideVMC, and the Latinx Veterinary Medical Association.
Pet Loss & Grief Resources: A set of compassionate resources offering guidance for end-of-life decisions, emotional support tools, and grief education to help families navigate the loss of a beloved pet. Learn More →
Employee Assistance Resources: A set of supportive resources offering confidential counseling and coaching for team members and their immediate household family through our Employee Assistance Program, plus an on-site Recharge Room exclusively for team members to relax and reset.
